Work in Progress
This 7,000 sf house in South Miami, currently under construction, showcases meticulous detailing, tactile natural materials, and elegant proportions.
A limestone and cast-concrete first floor supports a textured Ipe-clad second-floor volume.
Unlike typical suburban homes in the area, this residence is carved to create courtyards and connections to the exterior. Expansive doors and windows dissolve the boundary between inside and out, to allow for a unique and intimate conenction to the surrounding environment.
Strategic overhangs, laminated glazing, and carefully selected building systems and materials reduce heat gain, improve energy efficiency, and address South Florida’s immediate climate challenges—including high winds, flooding, and intense sun.
