The penthouse apartment was designed with a wood-clad interior core that houses the kitchen, a bathroom, and storage. This volume acts as a focal point, organizing and defining space. The bedrooms and living rooms radiate off of this volume and face outward toward Williamsburg landmarks, the East River, and Manhattan beyond. To enhance the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, the opening to the terrace was enlarged and outfitted with accordion doors that fully retract, providing a seamless transition to the exterior.

The kitchen maximizes storage while also remaining muted and serene.
Custom cabinets with hand-selected European oak veneer pair well with the quiet but rich marble.
Above the marble-clad island hangs our Leather 2x4 Pendant. This light fixture not only adds a decorative touch but also serves as a functional task light in this frequently used area.
In the entry hall, a grided, geometric screen covers an unsightly view while also allowing light into the entry hall.
We enlarged the opening to the terrace to maximize the views and create a seamless connection to the outdoors. The oak millwork seen in the kitchen carries through into the living room.
The primary bathroom features Tadelakt plaster, a waterproof material that adds a beautiful texture. The custom marble sink is the focal point and is complemented by the soft mottling of the plaster walls. Wood flooring applied to the ceiling adds warmth to the space.
The second bathroom is finished in terracotta tones that complement the wood walls. A custom marble sink and vanity in matching colors create a dramatic, monochromatic effect.
